Inspiradical is a regular collection of the creative and inspiring things we’re reading, watching and listening to. No matter if you’re a creative professional or not, we face creative problem solving in our lives. The best way to be consistently creative is with consistent inspiration and we want to share ours with you!
#1 Aaron James Draplin
Portland designer and owner of Draplin Design Co. gives his 50 point plan on kicking ass (or “wrecking your life”) during a Creative Mornings talk. Wisdom includes such things as knowing your roots, moving somewhere wild, mustard and creating as much awesome shit as possible. This is worth the 50 minutes…WATCH IT! Video after the jump.
#2 Read Paul Arden
The late Paul Arden was an advertising vet who wrote some great inspirational books about taking risks and doing things differently. His books, though using a lot of ad agency examples, are relevant to anyone. In fact, I first heard about It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want To Be. from a commercial real estate analyst. These are short reads and get you pretty amped to get stuff done.
#3 Colorado Is Awesome
Aspen’s Vital Films just released this aerial shoot of the Elk Mountains. You’re not going to get anymore explanation, just watch it.
